Valentin Foubert Finishes 16th at Willingen Ski Jumping World Cup
## Solid Comeback for French Skier
French ski jumper Valentin Foubert finished 16th at the Willingen Ski Jumping World Cup in Germany this past weekend. Foubert had a strong second jump of 141.5 meters, allowing him to climb 9 places and secure a spot just outside the top 15.
The event was won by Slovenian jumper Domen Prevc. Foubert's solid performance continues his progress on the World Cup circuit, where he has been steadily improving throughout the season.
"I'm really pleased with how I jumped today," said Foubert after the competition. "My second jump in particular was very good and I was able to make up a lot of ground. It's a positive result that gives me confidence going forward."
The French Ski Federation (FFS) was also encouraged by Foubert's showing, tweeting that it was a "solid comeback" for the young French athlete. With the Winter Olympics just around the corner, Foubert will look to build on this result and push for a spot on the French team.
