teaserThe French Ski Federation (FFS) has announced the selection of its team for the upcoming Telemark World Cup event in Trillevallen, Sweden from February 5-7, 2026. The Telemark discipline, a unique blend of alpine skiing and Nordic skiing, will be showcased on the world stage in this prestigious competition.

A Unique Blend of Skiing Styles

Telemark skiing combines the techniques of alpine skiing, such as carving turns, with the fluid movements of cross-country skiing. Skiers must navigate a course that includes both groomed trails and steep, challenging terrain, all while executing the distinctive Telemark turn - a graceful, low-to-the-ground stance with the rear ski leading the turn. The French team, known for its rich skiing heritage, will be well-represented in Trillevallen. Among the selected athletes are veteran Telemark specialist Julien Dupont, who has multiple World Cup podiums to his name, and rising star Émilie Gaudin, who has been making waves in the discipline with her dynamic and innovative style.
