Tschofenig Completes a Perfect Courchevel Weekend
Austria's Daniel Tschofenig wrapped up a flawless two-day sweep at the Courchevel Summer Grand Prix on Sunday, winning the second men's individual event on the HS132 ski jump at Le Praz. Having already claimed victory on Saturday, Tschofenig produced another commanding performance to seal the double, landing at 125.5 and 128.5 metres and finishing 1.2 points clear of Germany's Philipp Raimund in second place. Raimund, who had also placed second on Day One, was again the closest challenger but could not close the gap to the Austrian.
Tschofenig had further underlined his dominant form by topping the qualifying round on Sunday morning, making him the standout figure of the entire Courchevel weekend. The result extends his lead in the men's Summer Grand Prix standings heading into the next event on the circuit.
For France, Valentin Foubert was the top-placed home athlete in the men's competition, finishing fifteenth. Three French jumpers reached the final on Saturday, and Foubert's result again kept the nation visible on the points board without yet threatening the podium places.
Ito Overtakes in Women's Standings
Japan's Yuki Ito produced the performance of the women's weekend on Sunday, winning the second event at Courchevel with jumps of 127.5 and 125 metres to move to the top of the women's Summer Grand Prix standings. It was a major result on the Olympic hill — Courchevel's Le Praz will host ski jumping at the 2030 Winter Games — and Ito used it to surge past those who had led the season standings after the Wisła opener.
Germany's Selina Freitag took second place with distances of 129.5 and 122.5 metres, while China's Ping Zeng climbed the podium in third with jumps of 120 and 126 metres. Norway's Ingvild Synnoeve Midtskogen was fourth (124 and 131 metres) and Slovenia's reigning Grand Prix leader Ema Klinec fifth (125 and 120.5 metres).
Pagnier Wins Qualifying, Finishes Sixth in Final
France's Joséphine Pagnier, who is based in Norway, had the crowd at Courchevel on her feet when she won Sunday's qualifying round — competing in front of a home audience on French soil for the first time this summer. In the competition itself she placed sixth, one spot better than the seventh she managed on Saturday, and a sign of steady progress through the weekend.
Pagnier had entered Courchevel fourth in the overall standings after finishing on the podium at Wisła in early August. Her sixth-place result on Sunday means she will head into the next Grand Prix event firmly in the frame for the overall title race, which Ito now leads ahead of Freitag and Klinec.

The Courchevel stop was the second of four events on the 2026 FIS Ski Jumping Summer Grand Prix calendar, with the series continuing later in August. For Austria, Tschofenig's double win confirms the country's position as the dominant force in the men's competition so far.
