The legendary Tofane Alpine Skiing Centre in Cortina d'Ampezzo is ready to welcome the world's best female alpine skiers for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics. Named after Le Tofane, one of the most significant mountain groups in the Eastern Dolomites, this venue represents a perfect blend of Olympic heritage and modern winter sports excellence.

The Olimpia delle Tofane slope stands as one of the most iconic ski runs in the world, having previously hosted the Cortina d'Ampezzo 1956 Winter Olympics. Now, 70 years later, this storied venue is set to create new Olympic memories as it prepares for the women's alpine skiing competitions.

Speed and Precision at Tofane Alpine Skiing Centre

The venue showcases the ultimate test of alpine skiing, where athletes can reach breathtaking speeds of around 130 kilometers per hour. The course demands not only raw speed but also technical precision, as competitors navigate the challenging terrain carved into the Dolomites mountainside.

Olympic flags and the distinctive finish line are already in place, creating an atmosphere of anticipation for the upcoming competitions. The venue's strategic location in the Eastern Dolomites provides both spectacular scenery and ideal conditions for world-class alpine skiing.

Milano Cortina 2026 Alpine Events

The women's alpine skiing program at Milano Cortina 2026 will feature all five Olympic disciplines across two categories. Speed events include downhill and super-G, while technical events encompass slalom, giant slalom, and alpine combined - the latter being a challenging mixture of both speed and technical elements.

Each discipline presents unique challenges, with athletes competing for every hundredth of a second on the demanding Olimpia delle Tofane course. The venue's rich Olympic history adds an extra layer of prestige to what promises to be fierce competition among the world's top alpine skiers.
